The Ultimate Fighting Championship is hitting a huge milestone, with UFC 100. The fights lined up for this event are spectacular, and the energy is guaranteed to be high. so lets break down the fight card for this event, and make some predictions shall we?
main event : Frank Mir vs Brock Lesnar
Brock is too powerfull and too fast for mir, look for Brock to be simply overwhelming here. prediction-Lesnar
George St. Pierre vs Thiago Alves
St. Pierre is too much of an athlete. he will be able to bounce around, break Alves down, and frustrate him. Alves will not be able to get Pierre down, but if Pierre decides to, he will be able to score takedowns and punish Alves on the ground as well. predicton- GSP
Michael Bisping vs Dan Henderson
Bisping has struggled with great wrestlers. only loss come from a wrestler, Rashad Evans, and a near loss at UFC 75 against Matt Hamill. Dan is on a different pedigree than both hamill and evans, and is gonna find a way to beat Bisping, because Bisping sure is not about to be the first person to knock Henderson out. Prediction- Henderson
Jon Fitch vs Paulo Thiago
Fitch is just a gritty fighter. he can run you down and grind you out. look for that to be the case here. Prediction- Fitch
Mark Coleman vs Stephan Bonnar
if Coleman keeps bonnar on his back, pounds on him, he has a chance. but i believe Bonnar is just too slippery and too young, Coleman will gas out and Bonnar will not. Prediction-Bonnar
other fights-
Yoshihiro Akiyama Vs. Alan Belcher
prediction- Belcher
Mac Danzig Vs. Jim Miller
prediction- Danzig
Jon Jones Vs. Jake O'Brien
prediction- Jones
Dong Hyun Kim Vs. TJ Grant
prediction- Grant
CB Dollaway Vs. Tom Lawlor
prediction- Dollaway
Matt Grice Vs. Shannon Gugerty
prediction- Grice

Frank Mir V.S Brock Lesnar
Frank Mir vs Brock Lesnar
at UFC 100, Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar will be squaring off in the main event for the UFC Heavyweight title.
This anticipated rematch should turn into a chess game on the ground.
Brock has bursted onto theMMA, riding popularity picked up during his stint as a WWE superstar. many criticised the idea, but Brock put all that to rest by dismantling Heath Herring, and and Randy Cotour. His only blemish, brought to you by Frank Mir.
Mir on the other hand has alot of experience, and has beaten tough competition. He broke Tim Sylvia's arm by armbar, he TKO'd Nogueria, and has knocked off others, such as Tank Abbot, and Antoni Hardonk. He is a black belt in Jiu Jitsu, and his boxing has gotten dangererously good. Mir was even able to TKO Wes Sims, pretty easily. His experience is gonna make for a tough matchup for Brock.
Brock on the other hand has amasing size and speed, and his wrestling is top notch. His strikes, though not the most sound yet, are devestating, and his size and strength are a pain for any UFC heavyweight. When a solid strike is landed, it drops guys. Mir dropped in their first fight, Heath Herring dropped and rolled, and Randy Cotoure dropped and got TKO'd. If Brock fine tunes his striking, he will be nearly unstoppable.
personally, i will give an edge to Lesnar here. He is too strong, and will be able to punish and control Mir. Also, he is going to be on guard for Mir's submissions this time. I see it being a long night for Mir, and Brock is going home with the belt.

UFC 99-Franklin vs Silva
Headlining UFC 99 will be Rich “Ace” Franklin vs Wanderlei “the axe murderer” Silva, in what should turn out to be a brutal stand up war between two of Mixed Martial Arts’ most feared strikers!
The striking should make all the difference in this fight. With both fighters coming off losses, (Silva, a first round K.O to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and Franklin a decision loss to coach of the Ultimate Fighter, Dan Henderson) both fighters should be looking to get back on track with a win.
Not only did Wanderlei Silva lose his last fight, but has lost 4 out of 5 of his last outtings, 3 by knockout. However, a devastating first round knockout out of Keith Jardine showed that Silva still possesses that effective K.O power.
Franklin has been hit and miss lately as well with his 2 losses against middleweight champ, Anderson “the spider” Silva, and his decision loss to Henderson. But an impressive TKO victory over Matt Hamill with a third round body kick, and a TKO victory over submission machine, Travis Lutter shows that Franklin is still dangerous as well.
Stylistically these are two different strikers.
Silva is an aggressive Muai-Thai fighter, who tends to brawl, and Franklin is a more textbook striker with power and accuracy.
22 out of 32 of Silva’s wins have ended in K.O or TKO, a lot of wich were in the first 2 rounds.
Franklin has 13 KO or TKO wins himself, also most of wich were early on. Ace also has a great submission game, wich should be dominant to Silva’s, even though Silva is a BJJ black belt.
I don’t see the ground game coming into play here though. These two cagefighters should stand and trade, with “the axe murderer” being the aggressor, until one of the two drop!
The question is who will drop???
My opinion is you can look for Franklin to pick up a win here, probably in the first 2 rounds. Silva’s aggression will get him caught by one of Franklin’s accurate counter strikes, and set up a KO or TKO. His textbook striking and power will be too much for Silva, and this could end up looking a lot like the Chuck Liddell vs Wanderlei Silva fight, where Silva is just overwhelmed by a better striker.
